The Stupidly Simple Life

This is it, this is what it means; live simply, and be happier. Keep It Stupidly Simple We got rid of normal employment 9 years ago. I walked out of reasonably well paid prison education job, and whistle blew on the institutional racism. Woodstock walked out of a very paid nursing manager job and found the Care Commission had no interest in stopping abuse. So rather than let the system break us, we aim day by day to live a bit less within the system. We got rid of the wantful things. Woodstock has lived in eco communities on and off for few years. Water comes from springs, poop goes in hole in the ground, once every 6 months you buy gas for cooking, or use a wood fire. All our clothes are second hand. What furniture we have is too. We haven't watch tv in years. All this cuts overheads so we need less money. Above all it reduces our ecological footprint. Six months ago we got rid the car. It saved us £100 a month in tax, insurance, fuel and repairs. We got the bikes out and bought a bike trailer. Longer distances we go by public transport. We have got fitter, apart for me rear ending Woodstock and tearing his rotar cuff in his shoulder. Is was only a few months of severe pain and physio, and load of earache of him moaning about. We got happy, we grow our food, we forage, and we took responsibility for earning our own money. We do take money off the state in the form of working tax credits, and no we don't feel the need to justify it. I could start a political rant about how the state doesn't justify wasting money on war, but maybe another day. We know that some day that money from the state will stop. The way the world is going quite a lot money is going to stop and we are all going to have to live without. We all must learn to live simply, using as few of world precious natural resources as possible. So here is our blog. Stupidly simple products, Foraging, Bushcraft and simple living.
